Who has never think “I will start a diet”? Who has never think that plenty of times actually? Or think “I am too fat” or “I want to lose weight”?

We live in a world where thinness has become a standard to reach. One could almost speak of a cult of thinness. The influence of the media is of course preponderant. But this has not always been the case. There was a time when opulent women represented wealth and fertility. Unfortunately, some women in their way for losing weight will gain some! What a paradox!

The word "diet" is most often associated with restrictions and weight loss. Why not use it in the sense of a food mode?

Currently, a large percentage of patients who wish to lose weight want an effective and fast method. Unfortunately, this is a mistake because it leads to what is known as the "yo-yo effect". The yo-yo effect, which unfortunately many people experience, is defined by rapid weight loss, followed by weight gain that is sometimes greater than the weight initially lost. It is the metabolic consequence of losing weight too fast and can unfortunately lead to a real excess of weight, or even obesity.

So what? What is the solution? Stop doing restrictive diet! The risk of a restrictive diet when you are not overweight is to become one. The diet should in fact be a new way of eating that you could follow all your life. A healthy diet.
